“The Best of the Best” is a fast-paced, problem-solving/computation competition where students race to see who can correctly answer as many as questions possible. Individual and team scores will be calculated and awards will be rewarded! So join us individually or gather your team of three from your school and join us for this fun competition.
In order to make the math meet more fun and exciting the top 5 math meet winners will play a modified “24 Game” under Round 24. Round 24 rules and sample questions can be found on the Rules & Practice section of the meet website at bestofthebest.harmonytx.org
The Hour of Code began as a one-hour coding challenge to give students a fun first introduction to computer science and has become a global learning event, celebration, and awareness event. The Hour of Code takes place every year during Computer Science Education Week, which is in the first week in December. We welcome our parents and community members to come to our campus on this day and designated time to be a part of this fun and extraordinary hour!

We are at the end of the semester and it’s time to check our Scholars’ STAAR state test readiness. Students and teachers alike have been working rigorously since the beginning of the school year to master the skills needed to be successful on the STAAR tests.
Satisfactory performance on STAAR tests is a prerequisite to grade promotion in grades 3-8 and graduation requirement in grades 9-12.
The mini practice STAAR/EOC tests that will be administered in December are on the table above.
Several things you can do to help ensure a successful testing experience is that your student arrives on time, fully rested and prepared to test. It is also important to make sure your child eats a good dinner the night before, if not a good breakfast the morning of testing. Similarly, encouraging your student to do his or her personal best can greatly improve self-confidence levels leading to better performance.

Harmony Public Schools joins the country in mourning the loss of President George H.W. Bush, a leader known as the “education president” for his tireless devotion to America’s schoolchildren.
A statewide Day of Mourning has been declared by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott for Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2018, to allow Texans to pay their respects to President Bush. All Harmony Public School campuses will remain open and operating on their regular schedule on this date.

It is the policy of the Harmony Public Schools to ensure that
- All children with disabilities enrolled in the charter school regardless of the severity of their disability, and who are in need of special education and related services, are identified, located, and evaluated; and
